Angela Rhyne Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 27, 2017.

Angela Kay Rhyne, age 44 passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at her residence. Angela devoted 25 years of her life to Tiny Tot Child Development Center. She started as a teacher, then became the Assistant Director. Angela did not have children of her own but she touched many children's lives throughout the years. Her smile, wisdom, kind words and the love she had not only for the children, but also for the parents and her co-workers, will be greatly missed.
Angela also held a large place in her heart for all animals. She not only had love for her own pets but for all of God's creatures.

Besides the love of her family, friends, children and animals Angela may have been the biggest Duke fan you would have ever met. They would have never lost a game if they could have heard her yelling at them through the television.

"E-E" will never be replaced in our hearts!

Angela was the daughter of George Edward "Eddie" Rhyne, Jr and Patricia Ann "Pat" Henley Rhyne of Mount Holly, North Carolina. Angela will always be "Our Baby". She is also survived by her paternal grandfather George Edward Rhyne.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Ruby Flowers Rhyne along with her maternal grandparents Ray Henley and Nellie Henley and paternal Uncle Richard Rhyne.

Left behind to cherish Angela's memories including her parents and grandfather are her Maternal aunts and uncles: Barbara and Gary Hawkins of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Judy and Jerry Moss of Mount Holly, North Carolina, Bill and Rachel Henley of Mount Holly, North Carolina, Tom Henley of Mount Holly, North Carolina and Jim Henley of Raleigh, North Carolina; Paternal aunts and uncles: Darrell Rhyne, Diana Rhyne and Phyllis Annette Rhyne; cousins: Mark, Tracy, Cindy, Derek, Tonya, Matt and Ben; her Best Friend in her life and their children: Leigh and Michael Coleman, Connor, Laney Reece and Seth all of Mount Holly, North Carolina; fiancé Hilery Lackey and his children Wesley Lackey and Jordon Lackey; and her special friend and loyal companion dog "Lily".

Graveside and committal service celebrating Angela's life will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Hillcrest Gardens 1508 Charles Raper Jonas Highway, Mount Holly, North Carolina 28120 with Reverend Max Pendleton to deliver words of comfort to Angela's family and friends. Active pallbearers are Tom Henley, Connor Beach, Michael Coleman, Hilery Lackey, Jordon Lackey and Wesley Lackey.

In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be sent to the (Society Prevention Cruelty Animals), Greater Charlotte SPCA P.O. Box 77491 Charlotte, North Carolina 28271 or www.charlottespca.org

Ee
This has been one of the hardest things ive been through in a long time . You wernt only my coworker but one of my bestfriends . Everyday we would forward to going to the window and seeing that blue mustang pull up and all of the kids yelling ee and you waving through the window . All of the snacks you brought in and i tried every single one of them without hesitation. You were always there for me and i was always there for you . You always called me when i was sick to make sure i was okay and to tell me to get my butt to the doc . You were the first person i told i was pregnant and you were so excited . You made work better . I have so many memories of you and i will never forget them . I love you ee so much i miss you still and everyday

Eddie and Pat,
I send my deepest heartfelt sympathy to you and Angela's family. Angie worked at the preschool where my granddaughter attends. All this time i did not realize who her parents are. Eddie and my brothers, Dennis and Robbie were neighborhood friends. Angela was quiet but loving with her actions and words. We will miss her greeting us and/or telling us goodbye at the school.

I will miss this young lady here. I had some of my best day with her.she always made you feel like you were a part of the group. she would say on Friday morning y'all let's go to the beach and her, Shannon and I would be on the road as soon as the clock hit 6 pm. I miss those days. We would talk over the years not a lot, but when we did it's like we never stopped. Angie I love now and forever. Gone way to early but will never be forgotten. Sis l love you forever. My heart is broken. BarbaraMccorkle

It's so hard to even see this. But I know God has a plan for us all and I know that when you entered into those pearly gates Jesus spoke those words " enter in my child for you are home now" as he wrapped you into his arms. No more burdens no more sorrow no more pain you will ever feel. For you are in heaven rocking those precious babies up above. I love you and as heartbreaking as this is I know exactly what you would say to everyone if you could " don't worry about me I'm fine" well babe I know you are more than fine. I'm sure you are in just in ahhh right now of all the beauty that you are seeing. I can just see Jesus giving you the grand tour. What a day that will be.. I love you Angie.

She was truly a special person that gave so much to so many. I was an immature 16 year old when we met but she never treated me that way. She made me feel important, validated, and accepted. She's known by many and we all carry with us different memories of EE. Some have memories as recent as last week, some 5 or 10 years ago, other's (like myself) have memories that began in a different century. That's hundreds of people from all walks of life, ranging in ages from baby to balding, who carry thousands of memories that span decades and yet there is a common narrative of Angie's kindness, her capacity to love and of course, her unwavering support of Duke! I hope her family can find some peace in knowing she was loved by so many. You all are in my thoughts.

Angie, you weren't only my best friend you were my sister and a big part of my family. Our family now has a void in it that can never be replaced. The love you gave to Connor, Laney Reece and Seth will be forever in their hearts. They love you so very much! Michael might just get over you making his daughter a Duke Fan Thank you for always being there for me for anything at anytime! You'll always be our EE. Don't worry I'm taking the best care I can of Mrs. Pat and Mr. George. We promise we'll check on them and continue to be there for them. I will make sure they are always taken care of. I love you. Rest In Peace, my friend!
