If you had the option of having the best neighborhood by paying for the people who would be your neighbors, Hugh was the kind of guy you'd pay a million bucks to have live on your street. Most of the conversations I had with him over the years were while I saw him out just taking good care of his place, or taking it upon himself to keep our road clean. We still have a good neighbor in Mary, but I think almost every time I drive down our road I'll think about and miss Hugh.

My deepest sympathy to your family. I didn't know Hugh personally, but felt like I knew him through many conversations with my close friend, Hugh's sister Linda. From everything i've heard about him, he was a genuinely good man. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

Hugh was my first cousin. His mother and my mother were sisters. Hugh was a really sweet little boy and a good man. We hadn't seen each other in many years, but we were family. My heart goes out to Mary and the girls, and to his brother and sisters. I am James and Mildred Dawson's daughter, Donna.
