Margaret Ritchey Obituary

Margaret Ritchey, a long time resident of the Pasadena area, died Saturday the 27th of May 2017 at Memorial Hermann Northeast.

She was born on May 2, 1935 in Austin, Texas to the parents of Major King and Mattie Lee Butler who are now deceased. With her mother's upbringing Margaret was raised Baptist.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Warren, sons, Gene, Larry, Gary, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and other members of her family. She is also survived by her two sisters and two brothers Thelma, Gladys, Major and Leo.

In 1953, Margaret graduated from Austin High School where she meet her husband Jimmy Ray Ritchey now deceased. In 1960, they moved to the Northwest side of Houston and lived there five years. In 1965, they settled in Pasadena, Texas. During her life in Pasadena, Margaret loved to go to parties, garage sales, out to eat, to play Bingo, and to be with family and friends. Many thought she was a wonderful and fun person to be around.

She succeeded to become a great homemaker and mother. She supported her husband, raised four kids and was a good and honest friend to family and others alike. Margaret will be greatly loved and missed.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Chapel of Kingwood Funeral Home.
