Marilyn Billings Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 1, 2017.

Shelley Passed away on Wednesday, May 31st 2017 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX. A beloved mother, daughter, sister and Nana she will be missed by all those who were lucky enough to know her. Shelley lived her life to bring happiness to those around her, provide help to those needing guidance in sobriety, provide massage therapy for those who were suffering, love on her kids and grandkids, and of course take care of her animals, Harley, Rose, and Lance. Shelley was an accomplished massage therapist and Reiki Master. She was also a regular member of the Suburban Group in Odessa, at which she had obtained the rare honor of 25 years of sobriety. In those 25 years she helped countless people reach their own potential through being a dedicated sponsor and a good friend when they needed it most. She certainly loved her AA family. Her joyous and comforting presence will never be forgotten.
Shelley is preceded in death by her Father, John M. Billings (July, 3rd 1986) and Husband Bobby Eugene Register (July 3rd, 1996). She is survived by her Daughters Samantha Mays (Nick Mays), Mandi Burleson (Matt Burleson), Mother Bobbie McCumber (Gene McCumber), Brothers Terry Billings and Mark Billings (Mary Billings), and Grandkids Dani Carson, Eryn Taylor, Kali Taylor, Brynna Mays, Nathan Mays, and Cooper Burleson.
A memorial will be held in Shelley's honor at Frank Wilson Funeral Home, 4635 Oakwood Dr. Odessa, TX 79761, Saturday June 3rd at 3:00 PM. Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors

Shelley was a gifted and talented caregiver who could give comfort and healing to all who came to her. She was a good person who was full of light and sweetness and one who everyone liked. She will be missed so much by everyone who knew her and I will never forget her. Good bye, Shelley. I am glad you were my beautiful friend.
