Karl Lund, 73, of Hot Springs Village passed away June 2, 2017. Just four days in to 1944, Karl was born in Great Falls, Montana to the late Wilmer and Ruth Lund.





Karl excelled academically and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State. He was very proud of the 31 years he spent as a chemical engineer for 3M. Karl enjoyed to bowl, he also enjoyed being outdoors whether he was playing golf, fishing, shooting, or just enjoying the sunshine.





Karl was an active member in the Community of Joy Lutheran Church in Hot Springs Village.





Karl is survived by his wife of 27 years, Joyce Lund; his children Sarah (Paul) Mohrhauser of Hammond, WI; Krista Marie (Jon) Stonecipher of Eagan, MN; Eric (Kym) Lund of Hot Springs Village, AR; Courtney (Robert) Torgerson of Woodbury, MN; Bonnie (Paul) Hollnagel of Denver, CO; and John (Kelly) Calhoun of Teipai, Taiwan; grandchildren Kathryn, Christopher, Nicholas, Matthew, Catlyn, Cameron, Charlie, Anna, Michael, Kaylee, Mitchell and Charlie; siblings Kenlin (Martha) Lund of Greesboro, NC; Jon (Linda) Lund of Chariton, IA; Jan Marie Lund (David Demmers) of White Bear Township, MN; and John (Mary) Nelson of San Antonio, TX; niece Kari Jo (Troy) Nagy; and nephew Alex Demmers.





A Celebration of Karl’s Life will take place in the garden of Community of Joy Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 17 at 11:00 a.m.

Catlyn Owen

My papaw was a very special person to me. I loved him very much. I wish I could say my special good byes but I will say good and hello when I see him again and I just wish that I could get to see him one more time he was very special to me and my family. I know he loved me and his family he was the best. my step dad Eric Lund got to see him a lot but me and my mom didn't because my mom Kym Lund was always at work and me Catlyn Owen I was always at school. I love him very much I will see him again some day and I will say hello and a good bye.

My papaw was a very good person he was nice to every one he was so awesome to hang around with he was so fun to play around with he was a great man to me I miss him very much I am going to miss him very much and I really much wish that he was still here so I could say my good byes because I didn't get to see him a lot because I had school and I had to go to my dads. My step dad Eric Lund loved his dad very much and so did my mom and so did his family did to I and I did very much my name is catlyn and I go to jessieville and when I hear hisame it makes me really sad and when people ask me how he is I will tell them what happened and then they would get really sad to but I will tell what my papaws last words are and then they will start laughing mostly because when I said it. it would make me laugh to
