Charles David Kelley Sr. went to God's loving embrace on June 1, 2017. While Charles's death was sudden and tragic, the way he lived his life was completely the opposite. He was a very giving person. He never met a stranger, just always a new friend. He was always willing to lend a hand in whatever way he could. That mainly meant he was full of oil and grease. He loved his work as a tugboat captain. He was employed on the river for the past 20 years. His biggest joys in life was his family and jeep.
Charles is preceded in death by his father Bobby G. Kelley Sr. on January 26, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Billy Ainsworth Kelley. He is also survived by: his mother, Cindy B. Kelley, his only son, Charles David Kelley Jr, his older brother, Bobby G. Kelley Jr, his sister-in-law, Bridget M. Kelley, his Godson/Nephew, Bobby G. Kelley Jr, his Nephews Brendon C. Kelley and Bryson S. Kelley, his baby sister, Lucinda Kelley Gelardo, his brother-in-law, Matthew D. Gelardo, his Godsons/Nephews Neil A. Barrios and Michael C. Barrios, his Goddaughter/Niece Kara J. Barrios, his Goddaughter Savannah S. Phillips.
