Carmen Salotti, age 83, of Patterson, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at 4:00 p.m., peacefully and surrounded in love by her loving family and friends. She was the daughter of Marion and Albert Manzo, and the beloved wife of Louis Salotti of Italy. Carmen married Louis on December 18, 1966 and they celebrated their 50 year anniversary this past December.
Carmen was born in Patterson, New Jersey on April 12, 1934 and moved to Florida with her husband in 1975. Besides her husband, Louis, Carmen also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, as well as numerous family members and close friends.
Known as "Aunt Carm" to many and "Cheech" to her nieces and nephews, Carmen was an incredible person. She loved spending time with her beloved Joey, who was like a grandson to her. She also loved to travel and visited many countries throughout the years with her husband. Carmen loved learning about different cultures and their people. She enjoyed cooking, reading, teaching kids, playing Sudoku, taking care of her Orchids, and spending time with family and friends. Carmen was all about family and making sure everyone was having a great time and everyone was well. She contributed to the lives of many by helping them create a path for their future. Although, she never had children of her own, Carmen, was like a Mother to many. She will forever be remembered with love!
