Louie Edward McCarthy, Jr. 95, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, June 9, 2017 in the chapel at Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park, Texas. Interment will be held at Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the funeral home.
Louie was born May 23, 1922 in Iowa Park to Louie Edward and Marie (Denny) McCarthy Callon. After attending Texas A&M for two years and serving in the Army Air Corps in World War II, he and his wife, June, settled in Iowa Park where he was a lifelong rancher. He was also a member of the Iowa Park Masonic Lodge No. 713.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan; three grandchildren, Deana Uhl, Robert Galloway, Jr., and Kerry Harpole, and four great grandchildren, all of Houston, Texas.
