David Brotman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 8, 2017.

Dr. David Joel Brotman, 76, of Gilbert, Arizona, entered into eternal rest on June 7, 2017. David was a graduate of Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic and practiced in Tempe, Arizona for 30 years. He touched the lives of many...providing better health and hope to those who needed it most. He was appointed by 2 governors to The Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners, where he served 10 years. He was well regarded and respected by his peers. He was a teacher for the National Board Reviews, and an curriculum auditor at Chiropractic Colleges, for National Chiropractic Associations. A Rotarian, he was self reliant yet compassionate, capable yet kind. He loved music - dancing, singing and playing the piano. He provided his children the opportunity, the means and the counsel for success. David was the beloved husband of Bernadette E. Brotman for 45 years. Dear Pop of Ross (Denise) Brotman and Justin (Celestia Rasmussen) Brotman; Dear Papa of Rachel Haberer, Sarah Sheppard, Emily Haidle, Nicholas Deitrich, Maggie Brotman, R.J. Brotman, Daniel Brotman, Alexis Brotman, Jakob Brotman and Radek Rasmussen. Dear great-grandpa of Logan Rizzolo, Morrigan Haberer, Aidan Dunlow and Daniel Sheppard. Dear brother of Ronni (Lennie) Alterwein and Karen (Ted) Dubin. Our dear uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend of many. A Celebration of Life will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 19, 2017, at Mariposa Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 6747 E. Broadway Road, (at Power Road), Mesa, Arizona 85206. David was a proud patriot and generously supported the Wounded Warriors Project. Any contributions to this fine organization in his remembrance would be greatly appreciated. www.mariposagardens.com

June 19, 2017

I can't express the sorrow, but I know that sorrow will fade into the knowledge and certainty that I will feel your arms wrap around me in your abundant love once again. It's only a temporary goodbye, Pop. I know I will feel your love and wisdom for the rest of my life. Until then, keep those fireball buckshots out of the Mossberg up there would you? Love you daddy and I miss you dearly.

David, it is hard for me to say goodbye. When we first met in 1983 I knew we would be friends for life. You were always there for me and I always cherished your friendship and working with you was an honor. All those moments fighting for Sherman and straight chiropractic was our mission and you were always a gentle man. You will be fun to be with when we reunite my friend, enjoy heaven. God bless you and your family. I miss you already.

Poppop,

You were such a big part of our family; so many things to so many of us. We all love you, and we will all miss you. The world is just a little bit darker, with your light gone on to Heaven. I know you'll be watching over us, until it's time for us to meet again.

"As long as we live, they too will live; for they now are a part of us; as we remember them."
Poppop,
We will remember you as you lived. Lovingly and happily. It's with heavy hearts we say farewell but we find solace in knowing that you are at peace. You will remain in our hearts forever.
