Roger Lee Shaddix Sr., 69 of Alexander, passed away June 9, 2017. He was born to Robert and Louise Shaddix, Sr. on July 29, 1947 in Talladega, Alabama.



He was an Army Vietnam Veteran. He served as a police officer for 20 years and he worked as a nurse at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock/North Little Rock. He was a proud life member of the VFW in Little Rock, Post #9095.



He is preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Shaddix, and his parents.



He is survived by his son, Roger Lee Shaddix, Jr.; daughter in law, Dina Shaddix; granddaughter, Hanna; and siblings, Jimmy Shaddix, David Shaddix, and Nancy Trammell, all of Alabama.



Funeral service will be held at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1:00pm.

The greatest person. Roger loved his family. I worked with Roger many years at the VA. He was one of my best friends. He was the kindest, funniest person and was wonderful to the vets we cared for. We remained good friends after our retirement. You will be greatly missed my friend. Sending love, prayers to your family.
