Howard L. Clein, 66, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 after a brief illness. Howard was born on May 11, 1951 in Greensboro, NC, the son of Robert and Selma Clein. He graduated from Grimsley High School and received his degree from UNC Chapel Hill. He worked with his father in the family chemical business in sales. Howard was active in various activities at Temple Emanuel where he was a member. He loved to read and play golf. He truly was a gentleman and a scholar. He will be deeply missed.
Howard was preceded in death by his father Robert in 2008. He is survived by his mother, Selma F. Clein of Greensboro and sister Ellen Holmes and husband Jim of Fairfax, VA.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, 10:00 am at Greensboro Hebrew Cemetery with Rabbi Andy Koren officiating.
Memorials may be made to Temple Emanuel, 1129 Jefferson Road, Greensboro, NC 27410 or to the charity of one's choice.

I am very sorry to hear of Howard's passing. I knew him when he was working with Benco. There could be no nicer a person than Howard. Everyone liked him and I know that Benco's management is grateful for his business contribution as well as just the pleasure of working with a good man.
