NIPPER, Jimmie Lee, 91, of Sun City Center, FL, died June 10, 2017. Born in Douglas, GA, he was employed for 40 years by Continental Can Company in plant maintenance. He is also a member of Southside Baptist Church in Brandon, FL , United Steel Workers of America, Tampa Bay Wheelsmen Bicycle Club, Jimmie's Jammers Bluegrass Band, did woodworking for 60+ years, made steel knives with wood or bone handles, loved to travel and camp, and never met a stranger. Jimmie always had a vegetable garden and a grape vineyard; he loved railroads and trains and won the Presidents medal for physical fitness at 50 years of age ! He is predeceased by his wife Mildred "Micky", parents Lanie and Jimmie, brothers Henry, Rossie & Cecil and sisters Lucille, Mageline and Lillian. He is survived by his daughters Diana McLaughlin (Sladen) and Barbara Collins (John), sisters Evelyn Pritchard, grandchildren Lee Sullivan (Adriana) and Ashley McLaughlin and great great grandchildren Parker McLaughlin. Visitation will be Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, with Funeral service on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church; burial to follow the service at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.

As a later member of Jimmie's Jammers, and a fan of his as he moved among all of the musical venues, we wish to pay tribute to his musical skills and the social graces he displayed thru-out our years of association.
