John "Scott" McKee is described as many things; adventurer, farmer, father, grandpa, uncle, brother, just to name a few. He is a man that was easily liked by anyone that met him. Scott left this life behind on June 11, 2017 at home on his farm in Hulbert, Oklahoma at the age of 67. Scott was born January 10, 1950 in Kokomo, Indiana, the son of John McKee & Mary Jane McKee.

He moved from Kokomo, IN in 1956 to Hulbert, OK after his dad and uncle purchased a dairy farm in Cherokee County. Scott was fast on his feet and loved hitting hard while playing football for the Hulbert Riders. He graduated from Hulbert in 1968 and married his High School sweetheart, Pamela Cannon on June 5, 1971. Scott went on to NSU to receive his bachelor's degree in Education. After completing college, he worked side by side with his Dad at the Double M Ranch Dairy Farm. By the age of 26 he had built a house for his growing family. Scott was an amazing father to his four children, and taught them how to work hard with a smile. In 1996 Scott retired from milking and switched to raising beef cattle. This afforded him the time to enjoy his five grandchildren. He would drive them around the farm, play at the creek, and tell them the stories of how the farm came to be.

Those that went before him include; his parents, John McKee & Mary Jane McKee.

Those left to live in the legacy he leaves behind include; four children Heidi & Shawn Carter, Scottie & Mendy McKee, Rachel & Cole Purget, Savannah & Clint Anderson of Hulbert, Oklahoma; five grandchildren Morgan Carter, Jack McKee, Grace McKee, Max Purget, & Cross Anderson; Mother of his four kids Pamela Chaffin; two siblings, brother Terry & Cheri McKee and sister Robin & Gaylon Thompson; niece Danea LeNoir and nephews Bart McKee, Jeffery Thompson and Terry Thompson, as well as a host of other family and loved ones.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Your dad was a great man. He was always smiling and always so kind. Many of my childhood memories are at that farm. I'll never forget Scott taking us grass surfing and taking us for rides in the front of the tractor and dumping us over the fence into the pool. Or his many stories about the farm. He will never be forgotten. Love and prayers to you all.
