Alfred L. MacMoran, was born May 13, 1925, to Alfred A. and Emily C. MacMoran,
in Roxborough, Pennsylvania. He graduated Roxborough High School at age sixteen.
He enlisted in the U S Marine Corp at age 17, and served in the Marine Corp during
World War II, and the Korean War.
Alfred attended and graduated Penn State University, and was employed by the building
Company of F. B. Davis Sons Inc, Philadelphia, as a carpenter, and then estimator and finally president.
Alfred was a member of the Carpenter’s Company of the City and County of
Philadelphia. Following his retirement from F. B. Davis Sons in 1992, he volunteered in his construction expertise for Nuevo Esperanza in Philadelphia, and Clearwater Florida’s Morton Plant Mease Hospital’s committee to the board in the area of finance and construction.
Alfred passed on June 14, 2017, in Clearwater, at age 92.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine, and two children.
