MSGT (ret.) John Curtis Brown
John Curtis Brown, Master Sargent (Retired ) passed away Friday June 9, 2017 at the Alameda Care Center in Burbank, California after failing health and a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
The son of the late Katherine Reynolds and John Brown was born in Shelby County, Kentucky. He was raised in Jeffersontown, Kentucky and attended Central High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran retiring after more than 20 years of dedicated and decorated service. After retiring from the military, he went to work for the Los Angeles Unified School District from which he retired.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen (nee Tolentino), two children from his marriage to his first wife Dovie, Rodney and Elmaria Brown and his mother Katherine and Ernest Reynolds, his stepfather.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Gary Brown (Paula), Dr. Steven Brown (Deirdre), Jacquatta Allen (Kenneth), Elaine Brown, Lucile Stoner(Charles), Constance Brown, Victoria Brown as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest at the Veterans Cemetery in Riverside, California. Arrangements under the direction of Valley Funeral Home, Burbank, CA.
