Tully James Dawson, age 80, of Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Marietta, GA, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.
Mr. Dawson had worked for Coca-Cola for over 30 years in Atlanta, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. He enjoyed traveling and was a people person. He was a Georgia Tech graduate of '58, past president of his fraternity and graduate of Baylor Military School. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching football and rooting for the college teams where he and his children attended. He was very family oriented and was very active in Jaycees.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James & Myrtle Dawson. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sandra Swatek Dawson of Ft. Meyers, FL; son, Tully Dawson Jr. of Bradenton, FL; daughter, Trina Dawson Dudley and her husband, Ron, of Monroe, GA; grandchildren, Amanda Dudley Sisk, Nicole Dudley Morgan and Ronald "Davis" Dudley; great-grandchildren, Cobie Taylor Sisk, Emersyn Paige Sisk, Jacob Bryant Sisk and Reagan Elizabeth Morgan; and cousin, Preston Blackwelder to cherish his memory.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm at Woodstock Funeral Home 8855 Main Street Woodstock, GA 30188. Graveside Services will follow at 3:00 pm at Dawson Cemetery on Shallowford Road Marietta, GA 30066.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Dawson's memory to Hope Hospice 9470 Health Park Circle Ft. Myers, FL 33908 (1.800.835.1673 or hopeHCS.org/donate). The family requests bright, casual attire.
