Lanny V. Pemberton, 75, of Fort Worth, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017.
He was born in Dayton, Kentucky.
Lanny graduated from Bellevue Kentucky High School and also served in the US Navy. While in the Navy, he learned computer programming which launched a lifelong career in programming, analyzing, designing and writing programs for various companies throughout his career. During his younger years, he enjoyed bowling, tennis and watching all sports. He loved going to Port Aransas with the family. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcat follower. He shared his love of sports with his children and grandsons.
He was married to Elaine for 49 years. He was a loving husband, father and father in law.
Dad, we will all miss your sarcasm and humor, the way you always had such witty comments in anything you did. Listening to the old 8 track stereo, dancing, cooking hamburgers, making pizza, sitting in the garage watching the rain, laughing at the funny faces you would make, squeezing your hand, and going oosh, oosh, oosh, to your beard. So many memories come flooding back and we are grateful to have had you in our lives. Thank you for being a great dad and husband, always supporting our family and doing your best to provide us with all we needed.
Lanny was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Margaret Pemberton and a brother, Woodrow Pemberton II.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Pemberton, daughters Lynn Pemberton and Christy Teichman (Stephen), son Eric Pemberton, grandsons Jacob and Ryan Teichman and sisters Linda Ludington (Wayne) , Shelley Besnier (Dick) and Sister in Law Shirley Pemberton.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later time by his family.
