It is impossible to create comfort with words. I think Joy would have me try. Joy had such an incredible unique kindness about her. She gave without thought of it. Touched me with the light always present in her eyes. I could always see she genuinely cared about people. This is her legacy. Care about each other. When I think about the bewildering way she had to leave this earth I will always remember she would have us care for each other. I love you Brett and by extention your family. Some where somehow when your grief and astonishment subside there will be life and caring and Joy again. Blessing and comfort to you and yours.

Boy, was Joy not aptly named...
She brought joy to my life for 32 years. We've waited tables together, raised our children together & I had some of the best times of my life with her. She was like a sister to me, we would always say we were related since my mother's maiden name was Peterson.
I am so glad we made time a few months ago to get a facial & have a sleepover.
She has been such a beacon in my life. She is one of my best friends & I'll miss her forever. I wish we had one more creek day.
My sympathies & prayers are for Britt, Jasmine, Holly & Dylan, may God give you strength to see this through. Also, my heart goes to her mother-in-law & her brothers & sisters. Please remember, I will always be here for you.
