ADELE ALCORN READ, age 88, born in Carlsbad New Mexico, January 26, 1929, died in Houston, Texas, June 15, 2017. Predeceased by husband William Kyle Read Jr. Survived by daughter Jane R. Sihvonen and Douglas K. Sihvonen; son William K. Read III, son Thomas A. Read and wife Adriana G. Read; grandchildren Keith Sihvonen and wife Sheena Sihvonen, Jessica Ellison and husband Will Ellison, Christina Read, William Read, sister Kathryn Duffie, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Young Audiences of Houston, 4550 Post Oak Place, Suite 230, Houston, TX 77027 or the charity of your choice.
