I will miss you, Mr. Slates. After my own dad died, I kind of looked as you as my dad. My dad would have been proud of me doing that. I didn't say too much, but you were the only father figure I had left, and when we came to visit you, I felt a sense of peace. Our family, Randy, your son, Tatum, your granddaughter, and myself, Sue, you daughter-in-law don't know what to do with ourselves. Randy just doesn't know how to handle your death, especially when we were in Myrtle Beach when it happened. The guilt is written all over his face. But he took your advice and the advice of the rest the family at home to stay and enjoy your family. In hindsight, I don't know if we made the right decision. We love you. RIP
Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean, "we'll miss you," until we meet again.
