Celebration of life services for Marie Rushing, 93, of Corinth is set for 1:00 pm. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home with Elder Ricky Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Michie Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Rushing died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Mississippi Care Center. She was a member of Michie Primitive Baptist Church, was a retired secretary from the Alcorn County Extension Service after 25 years of service. She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, playing the piano and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Quincy Rushing; her daughter, Marie Anderson; her parents, William and Charlie Omega Combs Pickett; brother, A.C. Pickett; son-in-law, Don Harrison, Sr. and a granddaughter, Jessica Harrison Kiddy.
She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Harrison of Corinth; grandchildren, Don (Rebecca) Harrison, Jr. Melissa Wilhite; great-grandchildren, Jake Harrison, Josh Harrison, Madison Wilhite, Harrison Wilhite, Norah Kate Wilhite, Kayleb Kiddy; niece, Joann Stephen and nephew, Bill Pickett.
