Russell Arnold Willis Sr. “Pappy)”, 70, of Goose Creek, SC, husband of Tina Peavy Willis, entered into eternal rest June 21, 2017. The relatives and friends of Russell Willis are invited to attend his funeral services on Sunday June 25, 2017 at 2 pm at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
Russell was born in Charleston, SC, a son of the late Wilma and Charles Willis. He was a corrosion specialist at the Charleston Air Force Base for over 20 years and he retired after 30 years as a SM SGT at CAFB.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Tina Willis, 7 children: Tessa Joyce (Donnie), Rhonda Ritter (Allen) Trina Collins (Chris), Rusty Willis (Lauren), April Busby (Eddie), Diane Williams ( Jammie) , Andy Peavy (Carla), 19 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, brother Elliott Willis (Linda), sister Claudette Hiott (Glenn) and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to: The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund, P.O. Box 33099, Bloomfield Hill, MI 48303, 1-800=FWSF-729.

Russell was an absolute perfectionist when it came time for corrosion prevention on the C141 and C17 aircraft. He always produced a first-rate product that enabled our war fighting aircraft to do their job world-wide for contingency and humanitarian relief purposes. Rest well, Russell....you have earned it.
