Carole Lee Haynes peacefully passed on June 22, 2017 at the age of 71. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret Picard and her brother John Picard. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia M Patrello; sisters Michelle Schwartz and Susan Giordano; companion Steve Stites; grandchildren Bradley (Michael) Bledsoe, Casie (Michael) Knight, Carrie and (James) Yarnall; and one great grandchild. Carole was born in Plattsburg, NY. Her accomplishments included: Founder of First Potomac Securities, Board of Director of Blue Ridge Mountain Citizen Association and Officer of Friends of BlueMont. She received her Bachelor of Art at George Mason University, and MBA at George Washington University. A memorial ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 1st at Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA 22046.

Carole was my BFF for 58 years. I owe my career to her. She was the smartest person I knew. Carole was always there for me. I'm glad she had her family around her. We could always make each other laugh. We had such fun. I will miss her so much, but I will cherish my memories. My heart goes out to her family.
