Ossie CAMBRIC Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 23, 2017.

Ossie Jamal Cambric was born on April 19, 1970 to Alfred and Ann Cambric in Houston, Texas. Shortly after his birth, his parents relocated the family to Kansas City, Missouri where they raised their children in the church with a Love of Our Heavenly Father and for sports. In his early years, Jamal gave his life over to Christ and continued to walk in His Light all during his life.

Ossie graduated in 1988 from Hickman Mills High School where he played Quarterback for the Cougars. He furthered his education at Pittsburg State University.

Ossie married his high school sweetheart, Kimberly Marie Cerra in 1992 and together they had AJ (Alfred Jamal) and Cerra Marie.

He was employed at Sprint and Truman Medical Center for 20 years as a Project Manager and tuned his love for professional sports into a new career with Niles Media Group where he was a Videographer for KC Metro sports, and the Kansas City Royals. He loved hip-hop music, his former clothing line, (Paradise), shoes, and the Kansas City Chiefs.

On June 22, 2017, after a long battle with Diabetes, Ossie passed away peacefully while sleeping and is now in the Loving Arms of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Ossie leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 25 years, Kimberly, son, AJ, daughter Cerra, parents Alfred and Ann Cambric, his older sisters Demitris Cambric and Shonga Cambric-Williams (Bobby), 4 nephews and nieces, Kevin, Kemelya, Cambric and Keenya and two great nephews, Michael and Ayden. Four Uncles Leroy Cambric (Joyce), Leon Cambric (Virginia), Harold Cambric (Esther), Frank Smith, and five Aunts, Adele Jackson (Joseph), Doris Bragg, Joyce Cambric, Nadine Holland (Alfred) and Patricia Cambric. In-Laws Ben and Marsha Cerra, Michelle Franke (Jeff), niece Alexandra, Heather (Kadence) and a Dear Family Friend, Jada Gray and a host of cousins, friends and co-workers.

In Loving Memory of
Ossie Jamal Cambric

God finalized my plans it was time to depart
My time was destined for my Heavenly life to start.

The transition was an easy one, I simply laid down to sleep
when I opened my eyes again, my body was no longer weak.

I know this wasn't the plan we all were looking for
But Gods plan is best and he's opened a brand new door.

A door where there is peace, love and healing too
I was ready for eternal healing for this is really true

I thank my wife for all the love, comforting and care.
My love for you stays the same although I'm no longer there.

To my loving children you know I love you so
Heaven has a window where I can watch you grow.

A Dad and Mom I had I tell you they were the best
And all through my life I knew I was very blessed.

This truly is not goodbye, I really will see you soon
Love is never lost there's memories in every room

His peace is everlasting, His love will never end
With God all things are possible and I will see you again.
