Rosa Capezio, 87, a resident of Annapolis passed away June 23, 2017 peacefully in her home. She was born on February 6, 1930 in Muro Lucano, Italy. She married Gerardo Capezio on February 14, 1953. Together they immigrated to America in 1955 to Bronx, NY and settled in Annapolis, MD in 1965. She worked at the Naval Academy as a seamstress. She was a member of Sons of Italy lodge #2225. Since living in Annapolis she was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She was the most hospitable person, by cooking meals, sewing and giving rides and visiting friends in need. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also owned and loved her place in Ocean City, MD.
She is survived by her children, Felicia and Robert. Two grandchildren, Heather and Tony. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerardo and son Anthony.
Memorials can be made in Rosa’s name to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73123.
The family will receive friends at the John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street Annapolis, MD 21401 on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Catholic Church 109 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD 21401 on Friday at 9 AM. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
