Jimmie R. Hinshaw, 85, Columbia, MO passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at The Bluffs in Columbia, MO.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors.
Jimmie was born on May 27, 1932 in Ashland, MO the son of James R. and Nellie Mae (Hagans) Hinshaw who preceded him in death. He was a 1951 graduate of Hickman High School and also served in the US Army. He was married on June 10, 1953 in Columbia, MO to Phyllis Sue Reynolds who survives of the home. Jimmie was a carpenter for many years and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.
Other survivors include: four children, Cindy Mountjoy (Ralph), Bernard Hinshaw (Lynn Cashatt), Teresa Hayes and Don Hinshaw (Suzanne Suebben); 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by one son, James Hinshaw, four sisters and seven brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Central Missouri Honor Flight Program, 625 Cherry St, Columbia, MO 65201.
