COLUMBIA - A graveside service for Alice Charles Moss, 85, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2017, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, Columbia, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Moss died Tuesday, June 27, 2017. Born in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Fred E. and Cassie Seay Charles. A graduate of Boiling Springs High School, she attended business college and retired from Thomas & Howard Company. She was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Teresa Moss Simmons (John “Jaye”) of Columbia; granddaughter, Leigh Anne Woolbright Workman (Madison) of Greenwood; grandson, Matthew Blake Woolbright of Tampa, Fla.; brother-in-law, Eugene Tabbot and sister-in-law, Jeanne Charles, both of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by her husband, James Leon Moss; brother, Marvin Charles; sisters, Marcelle C. Gardner and Helen C. Tabbot; brother-in-law, Charles Gardner; sister-in-law, Sarah Charles..
