It was 45 years ago tonight, I was 21 years old and going into labor with my first child and where was I, with Winnie. We sat and talked at the kitchen table until 3 am in the morning. I told Winnie I think I am in labor and she said "Your full of it" as she always did jokingly. As I sit here tonight I can remember her telling me, "You will know when your in labor Sweetie". Well 5 hours later I went to the hospital and had my son Scott at 3:36pm that afternoon.
I will forever miss the hundreds of visit and talks we had at that kitchen table. After work we would always end up at the table going over what had happened throughout the day. It has been 3 weeks and 1 day since Winnie left us and I am feeling her loss more now than ever. Now that the house is emptied and the dust has settled I am at a loss for words in expressing how much I miss her already. She taught me and everyone else she knew about strong values and the importance of family, hard work, kindness, tolerance, generosity, forgiveness and love. She was a strong woman, stubborn, gentle but direct and had an amazing sense of humor. I miss my friend Winnie and I am comforted in knowing she was at peace when God took her. Forever in my heart, Love Sha

The Eulogy my Daughter said today

They say you meet people for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Whatever the case may be for you, we can all agree we were very fortunate to have Winnie in our lives. Whether you knew her as a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, or a friend, what a beautiful soul she was. I cannot fathom how incredibly blessed I am to say she is my grandmother. She was down to earth, and worked hard to be the best wife, mother, and friend to all of us. She always looked out for everyone but herself. Growing up with an Italian grandmother, it was impossible to leave her house hungry or empty handed. She's given me so much but what I valued most was her unconditional and sincere love, that of which I will cherish forever. 105 Cipolla Drive is not just any house, it was a home. If I needed to talk, she was always there And she always listened. It was the one place i knew I was always welcome with open arms. I'd come knocking on the door, and as she'd peep out the curtain, I would always see a smile light up across her face. Countless conversations I, as well as many of you, had sitting at that very kitchen table, I will never forget. She was always ready to support any decision I made, because she believed in me, even when I didn't. She loved to garden, and she has planted her roots in me. She has sculpted me into the person I am today and there is nothing I want more than to make her proud of the woman I am becoming. I am forever grateful for her presence in my life. She may be gone from this world, but I know she will always be with us. I find comfort in knowing she was gracefully led to heaven by her husband frank, and her two children, frankie and Luann, who have passed on before her. Thank you for being the most wonderful angel god could have ever given me. I love you more

Mrs. Terragna was a Patriarch on Cipolla Drive for over 60 years. I have nothing but fond memories of the way she treated the neighborhood kids, myself included. About a year ago a neighbor asked if I would get rid of junk she had on her porch. I did do without hesitation. She was a great neighbor and will be missed by those like me who always knew she was a good mom to her 4 children. Rest In Peace Mrs. Terragna, God Bless.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Terragna and Cipolla families. Just one look at her picture and that is how I will remember my "second Mother". Always smiling, laughing and offering advice. We moved to Cipolla Drive in 1957 and the Terragna family lived right next door. So we have had many, many years of wonderful memories. Will be forever grateful to have known and loved this woman. Rest in peace and say hi to everyone. Will truly miss you.

Vince,

You never failed to bring a smile to my face from the moment I met you. Anyone who knew you knew that behind that tougher than nails image you portrayed was a WONDERFUL KIND HEARTED soul that would do anything for someone she liked (and you knew just where you stood in that respect IMMEDIATELY) I have many a fond memory that I will hold dear to my heart forever, my favorite one being my wedding day that we talked about just a week ago. Rest in peace Vince and know that you are loved and will be surely missed by many, you were one of a kind.
