David Camardelle Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 29, 2017.

David "D.J." Elliott Camardelle of Marrero, LA, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the age of 22. He was the fiancé of MaKayla Aaron, and father of Zaidyn Camardelle and McKinnlie Camardelle, as well as stepfather of Ja'Coby and Hailey. Son of Candice Richoux and David LeBlanc, and step-son of Melvin Richoux Jr., and Crystal LeBlanc. Brother of Heather, Kyra, A.J., Jasmine, Jared, Lil David, Dillian, Briana, Victoria, Makayla, Shine, and Ariel. Godfather of Prudence and Esmae. Grandson of G-maw Lynn Richoux, G-paw Melvin Richoux Sr., Donald Camardelle Sr, David Merritt and Dorothy Rester as well as the late Billy Elliot, Beverly Harrington and Bobby Harrington Sr. He was a great father, hard worker and all around awesome kid. He was motivate, determined, compassionate and loving. He loved being out on the water, but loved being with family more. He had a great sense of humor and could always make people laugh. He also loved to sing and dance, though he was never as good a dancer as he thought he was. He was loved and will be missed by many!

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.

I know that you are in heaven with your grandmother playing yaztee as your mother said. We send our love and prayers to you and your family. Please watch over your family and ease their minds. Im so sorry that this happened to you and your family..I didn't know you for a long time but in the 6 months ive known him I spent a lot of time with him..I used to pick him up for work every morning and spent 8 hrs with him every Monday-Friday as his foreman at Gulf Coast Services on a project for the port of New Orleans..He was a really good guy all around..He was also a hard worker..It is tragic that he has passed away so young..He had his whole life ahead of him.. And he was a great father..I dont think a day went by without him saying something about his kids..He had so much potential..Im very sorry you had to go so soon...Im sure that if he interacted with his friends the way he interacted with his co worker that there is going to be a whole lot of people that are gonna miss you..Rest Easy David..

Candice & family, words cannot express the shock of hearing the news of D J s passing. I know your Mom was waiting to meet him at Heavens gate. You are & always will be part of my family. Your Mom & I had been friends a long time. What a great loss for us here on earth but Heaven has a new angel . May u cherish the memories and know that he is at the side of our Lord Though your chain has been broken, one by one it will be linked again as all are reunited in the future May he Rest In Peace
