I met Eddie at the YMCA in Waynesboro. We became good friends, keeping in touch for years after we both left the Y. I found this sad news after not hearing from him for the past few Christmases. He was an awesome human being!

I am sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. I have lived in California for many years. Several years ago I made it back to Charlottesville, and attended a tribute for Mr. Hurt. I spoke briefly with Eddie at that time. I have looked forward to returning to Charlottesville for recent Class Reunions, and to renewing acquaintances, but unfortunately have not been able to make it. I send my condoloences to Eddie's family.

Dear Family,

So saddened and shocked by Eddie's death. Last saw Eddie at our 61st AHS Class of 1956 reunion June 10th. Eddie was an asset as a member of the Class Reunion Committee for many years. Can't believe he is gone. He will be greatly missed.

Prayers and condolences to everyone.

I only knew Eddie briefly, and for a short period of time, as a neighbor who seemed to be an extremely nice person, and who did enjoy his passion for classic cars. I truly will miss him as my good neighbor. My sincere condolences go out to his family.
