I met Eddie at the YMCA in Waynesboro. We became good friends, keeping in touch for years after we both left the Y. I found this sad news after not hearing from him for the past few Christmases. He was an awesome human being!

I am sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. I have lived in California for many years. Several years ago I made it back to Charlottesville, and attended a tribute for Mr. Hurt. I spoke briefly with Eddie at that time. I have looked forward to returning to Charlottesville for recent Class Reunions, and to renewing acquaintances, but unfortunately have not been able to make it. I send my condoloences to Eddie's family.

I only knew Eddie briefly, and for a short period of time, as a neighbor who seemed to be an extremely nice person, and who did enjoy his passion for classic cars. I truly will miss him as my good neighbor. My sincere condolences go out to his family.
