James Ausderau Obituary

James A. Ausderau, 70, of Glasford, Illinois, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 4, 1946 in Niagara Falls, New York to Loren and Jean (Johnson) Ausderau. He married Helen Armstrong on October 23, 1970 in Adrian, Michigan. She survives.
He is also survived by two children, Kimberly (Mike) Reed of Peoria and Anthony (Kathy) Ausderau of Nashville, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Kayleigh, Madeline, Brody, Lauren, Peyton and Chase; four siblings, Barbara (George) Coneset of Adrian, Michigan, Bill (Mohona) Ausderau of Lebanon, Tennessee,Wayne (Barb) Ausderau of Greenville, Alabama and Douglas Ausderau. He has several nieces and nephews. James is also survived by his faithful pets, Trouble and Kitten.
He was a chemical operator and supervisor at Lonza for over 25 years before retiring. He served over 20 years as the Chief of Police in Glasford and was a State of Illinois Conservation Officer for over 15 years. James was a volunteer fireman for the Timber Hollis Fire District and a Hunter Safety Instructor for the State of Illinois. He loved fishing, hunting and playing cards.
A visitation will be from 4pm until 7pm Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Davison Fulton Glasford Chapel in Glasford. Cremation rites will follow the visitation. You may create an online condolence at www.davisonf-woolsey.com.

My condolences to my Ausderau 'cousins'. While we have never known one another, I still feel the loss as I am an avid genealogist and have long followed this line. His father Loren and my grandfather George were brothers. Please know you are in my thoughts.
