James “Jim” B. Landing, 86, of Delmar passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Delmar Manor. Born October 22, 1930 in Salisbury he was the son of the late Clarence V. Landing and Helen B. Landing. Jim retired from Good News of Salisbury where he worked as a mechanic. He was a member of Melson United Methodist Church in Delmar, the Eastern Shore Region Antique Car Club, and the Federalsburg Threshermens Association. He enjoyed spending time in his garden. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Evelyn F. Landing; sons, James B. Landing, Jr. and his wife Brenda of Cypress, TX and George V. Landing, Sr. and his wife Lorraine of Delmar, MD; grandson, Jason Landing of Broken Arrow, OK; great-grandsons, Derek, Dax and Reid Landing of Broken Arrow, OK; great-granddaughters, Emma and Sophia Landing of Broken Arrow, OK; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, George Landing, Jr.; brothers, Clarence Landing, Jr. and John Landing; and sisters, Frances Landing, Helen Rose Robinson, and Virginia Fleming. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11am at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. Rev. John Oltman will officiate. Interment will follow in Parsons Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Jim to Melson United Methodist Church, C/O Amber Dorman, 6188 Trails End Court, Salisbury, MD 21801 or Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
