Funeral services for Joanne Horne Neisler, age 78 of Jackson, will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Meridian Baptist Church with Bro. John Enoch officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens with George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel in charge.
Joanne passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was born on August 15, 1938 in Holladay, TN to the late William Roy Horne, Sr. and Mary Barr Horne. She was a charter member of Meridian Baptist Church where she served as a wonderful example of a faith filled Christian who loved God and family. She was devoted to raising funds and supplies for the McKee Mission in KY. She was also a member of South Jackson Civitan Club. She was dedicated to serving her God in any way that could help others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Neisler, parents Roy and Mary Horne, sister, Lue Payne, brother Walton Horne and grandson Keith Davis.
Joanne is survived by a son, Mike Newman; daughter, Donna (Tom) Low; sisters Juanita Crosnoe and Beverly (Richard) Crosnoe; brothers Adron (Hildred) Horne and Bill Horne. Grandchildren, Heather (Justin) Randall, Holly (Michael) Paul, Crystal Davis, Jerry Johnson and Nikki Newman. Also survived by an honorary grandson, Grayson Hart, 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Meridian Baptist Church.
Memorial donations may be directed to Meridian Baptist Church or the the charity of the donors choice.

Joanne was the nicest person you could ever meet. She cared for me like I was one of her own. She was always helping someone or checking in to make sure everyone was ok.
