Edna Ruth "Ma" Christian, 98, of Iowa Park died Sunday, July 9, 2017. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dutton Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Christian,
her grandson, officiating. Mrs. Christian was born June 26, 1919 in Winchester,TX. She married George Alvin Christian on July 30, 1938. George and Edna were among the very first members of Faith Baptist Church in Iowa Park under Pastor George Shropshire. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and a great cook. Her family was her pride and joy, along with her car, "The Comet," which she proudly showed to all who visited her. She is preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include two sons, Danny and wife Toni of Iowa Park, and Larry and wife Linda of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Steve and wife Kim of Taos, N.M., Terry and wife Tonya, and Robin Christian, all of Amarillo; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Iowa Park Healthcare Center.

I truly loved her so much. Always when she came to the Doctor at Park Clinic we always talked about everything. I would even go and visited her at the nursing home from time to time and just see how she was. She was the sweetest lady ever. I always wished she had been my grandmother that I never had in life. My prayers are with the family you sure have lost a very precious soul.. I will miss her. Bobbie Fowler Smith
