So sorry to hear this, but so glad for Mrs. Thompson to know where she is now. She was such a sweet person who loved the Lord and such faithful members of NEBC. Mr. Thompson, you are in my thoughts and prayers as I know it's so hard to learn to live without the one you've relied on for so long. I know the Lord will see you through. Love, Judy

Although I moved away from Beaumont a long time ago, any time I went to church and saw Mrs. Thompson, I could expect a big, but gentle hug from her. A quick update on family made for a happy reunion. I'm sure she will be glad to be with Jeff now and celebrating a new life with Jesus. Mr. T, I will be praying for you and family during this time.

Ellis, you and Neida were always so special to me and Ed. My heart is breaking for you, as I know how close you two were and how much love you shared. She is sitting in heaven with Jesus, with all her friends and family. I am living in Louisiana now and won't be able to come, but know how loved you are by so many people. I will be praying for you. Just keep believing!!!

Our thought and prayers are with you all at this time. So many memories growing up in the 4400 block of Dallas Street and at North End Baptist Church. It was a pleasure and an honor to know Mrs. Thompson.
I am saddened that we are out of state and unable to be there to express our sympathy and condolences in person but please know that we are thinking of you all at this time.
Mom is with me and sends her love and wants you all to know she is thinking of you.

Neida was a wonderful friend. She was a good listener. Whenever someone had a need, she and Ellis were always there to help or encourage. It was always a treat to go to her neatly kept and good smelling house and sit and to talk with her. I would compare her life to potpourri. She was a mixture of good things. She was a Christian and a faithful member of North End. It was great to work with her in Sunday school. She knew how to entertain....hosting many 42 parties, New Year's Eve, family gatherings, and bridal showers. She always made the centerpiece for the tables. When someone returned from hospital, she would appear the very next day with a cake or pot plant. I think of her when the Christmas holidays come. She make a citrus kettle of lemons, comquats, apple cider, cinnamon and cloves. I called it her steaming potpouri. She was a beautiful person. I am so happy our life paths crossed and hope we are neighbors in heaven! When I get there, I am going to sniff around for citrus potpouri....I am sure she will be close!
