Lorene was my Dad's first cousin and one of the most dynamic, talkative, and life-long education enthusiasts in our extended family. I especially remember our Thanksgiving family reunions held for many years, and always enjoyed hearing about her teaching life, retired teacher's association, and especially her stories about her many varied animals, including her diverse species of chickens. She had so many varied interests and skills and was always interesting to talk with at our family gatherings. We will all miss her.

Lorene was our son's second grade teacher. The field trip to her farm was a special treat. She was a caring person and will be missed.

We first met at LPS Art camps in Colorado. Every morning she convinced a bunch of us to rise early for a hearty hike before breakfast! A great role model and tireless worker for the causes affecting good education. Well done, good and faithful servant! Karla
