Gary Greer, age 81, passed away July 11, 2017. Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, July 20th, at Floral Hills. Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00pm.
He was born in Kansas City, MO to Ernest and Sarah Marie Greer. He graduated from Buckner, MO high school, and attended college in Warrensburg playing football.
He was an avid golfer, achieving his best score of 68 at Rockwood Country Club. Gary was a member of the Eagles and a Shriner. He was adventurous and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Gary was preceded in death by his wife, LeAnne Greer; his son, Greg Greer; son-in-law, R.W. Gehrs; brother, Bill Greer.
He is survived by his daughter Sydney Arnold, and her husband, Larry; son, Kelly Greer; daughter, Christine Gehrs; siblings: Raylene Wallace, Mary Frye, and Rex English; grandchildren: Brandon Gehrs, Nick and Savannah Gehrs, Janea Greer, Kyle Gehrs, Kati and Justin Cashman; great granddaughters: Saylor, Emmy, and Lily.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the family to offset service expenses.
