Miss Bernice went to her savior on July 11, 2017. Born in 1922, the youngest of four sisters and 4 brothers, she was a child of the 20's, a teenager in the depression who lettered in basketball at Putman High in the late 30's, a young war bride in the 40's with a husband in the Normandy Invasion, a PTA-Cub, Brownie, Girl Scouts mother raising two kids in the 40's, 50's, and early 60's; then a career woman until she retired in 2012 at 89 years of age. She worked as a Hair Coloring Consultant and Sales Technician in the West for Helene Curtis and Wella, a Product Demonstrator for Costco, a Food Assistant for Irvine Head Start and a Walmart Greater for her last 14 years at Walmart's first Super Center store in Plano Texas. Her dedication to assignments resulted in love and respect from customers, co-workers and management and was often recognized by performance awards.
Very devoted to her daughter Diana and son Del, she spent time supporting their efforts as well as being a devoted mother when the need arose. After a long and successful life she now joins her daughter (Diana Price), parents (August and Martha Kuhlmann), siblings (Walter Kuhlman, Herbert Kuhlman, Lester Kuhlman, Harry Kuhlmann, Selma Evans, Nora Irion, Renata Alger) and some nieces and nephews. She is survived by her son Delbert Covington, Grandson Phillip/Melissa Price, Great Grandson Evan Price (who recently said "love you Grandma"), nieces Martha Wright, Janet Alexander, Loretta McCollum, Donna/Cowles Mast, Dorothy Kuhlmann, nephew Pastor Timothy Kuhlmann, and Grandnieces/nephews in Oklahoma the Kuhlmans, Boldings, Wedels, Dalingers, Hooton-Bells, and Smiths
Of special mention, Bernice had a strong appreciation for friends and neighbors, the Rubinett's, Young's, Bridges, Ugland's, Klinger's who were always there to provide support and love. As her final journey time became a reality, she and others were very appreciative of the care received from staff of Heritage Manor and Comfort Care Hospice which resulted in a peaceful transition to her maker.
Throughout this process Bernice maintained her faith was always grateful for the guidance and support provided by clergy and her faith based relatives and friends; she will be at peace knowing her final services before internment will have the involvement of Pastor Paul Mussachio, Pastor Jackie Linden Linden-Schade, Reverend Walter Kuhlman and Reverend Luke Kuhlman.

Del, I can't fathom the pain you feel. You're mother was a vibrant flower. She was beautiful inside and out. And had such a colorful personality. I wish I could've spent more time with her. But with thus said, our family will always be there for absolutely anything you need. From any support, to a welcoming ear for anything on your mind. Thank you for being so passionate in other people, you must've learned that from your amazing mother. Whom, is in a place where there is no pain, no hurt, but only glory. You are an excellent example for us to strive to be. With thus said, I hope peace, comfort, and beautiful everlasting memories comfort your heart. Thanks to you and your mother for a strong relationship that will last an eternity.
Much love,
Brandon Young
