Annie H. Peel
After a long and fruitful life, celebrated with daily gifts of love, kindness, and Christian fellowship, Mrs. Annie Hortense Peel passed on to meet her Lord on July 11th, 2017. She was born on December 23, 1920 in Geneva, AL and was preceded in death by her husband, William Raymond Peel, her son, Raymond Peel II, and siblings Daniel Purvis, Willie Mae Peterson, Louise Dean, and Georgia Smothermon.
She is survived fondly by her daughter-in-law, Debra Peel; grandson, Eric Peel (Dana); granddaughter Emily Johnson (Ben); great-grandchildren Ethan and Allison Peel, and Bryce and Bailey Johnson; sisters Mildred Speigner, Martha Thomas, and Jeanette Hughes; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Peel spent many years nourishing students in the cafeteria of Millbrook's Robinson Springs Elementary School and was a proud member of Mount Hebron Baptist Church of Elmore, AL, where she loved many life-long friends.
With a bright smile, a quick laugh (and a fresh cup of coffee), Mrs. Peel enjoyed sharing stories of family and travels with friends and loved-ones. Always proper, but never too curt for fun, Mrs. Peel continually found the pleasures and treasures of daily life. She will be sorely missed.
Services will be held at 3 P.M. on Friday, July 14th, 2017 at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home in Montgomery, AL. A graveside service in Greenwood Cemetery will follow immediately after.
All are welcome to celebrate her life at a visitation beginning at 2 P.M.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Peel's passing. There is not a time in my life that I don't remember not knowing her and Mr. Peel. Fond memories of the two of them singing in the church choir with huge smiles on their faces. The joy of the Lord shining through them. I know my mom and dad are rejoicing with them in heaven today.
