Robert Joseph Fasnacht, beloved husband of the late Jean S. Fasnacht, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017. He was born on August 15, 1924 in Pittsburg, PA. Son of the late William J. Fasnacht and Beatrice McCarthy Fasnacht. Father of Robert J. Fasnacht, Jr. (Susan) and Steven F. Knight (Rhonda). The grandfather of Amy and Kim Fasnacht, and Taylor, Tiara and Tanner Knight. Brother of James and Richard Fasnacht and the late Paul Fasnacht. Mr. Fasnacht was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, B.S.E.E., MBA and Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law, Los Angeles, CA. A member of the Administrative Staff of The Aerospace Corporation, El Segundo, CA for 25 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, during WWII.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society, 2605 River Road, New Orleans, LA, 70121, or visit the cancer.org site.
