HILDEBRANDT, William C.- of Woodbury and formerly of Syosset, NY on July 14, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Charlotte (nee Scharfe). Loving father of William (Pat), Peter, Mary (David), and Thomas (Liz). Cherished grandfather of ten. Devoted great grandfather of four. Reposing at the Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Road, Syosset, NY 11791. Visiting Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM. Funeral Service on Thursday 10:00 AM at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 231 Jackson Avenue, Syosset, NY 11791. Burial to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Williams' name would be appreciated.

He was a very kind, caring and intelligent gentleman. He had a gentle and fun sense of humor. When I recall memories about Bill I always smile. i enjoyed his Sagamore HIll volunteer days. I was blessed to know him. The world lost a priceless treasure. I am certain that Bill is in heaven. He will be missed.

Mr. Hildebrandt was the nicest man. I remember him well.He loved smoking his tobacco pipe in his office at South Grove Elemantary School.You can smell it walking down the hallway.
