Chatham, IL-Gregory A. "Greg" A. Sapp, 61, of Chatham, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 6:05 am, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
He was born February 11, 1956, in Springfield, the son of William and Yvonne (Rice) Sapp Jr.

Greg was a graduate of Chatham Glenwood High School. He worked as a tax analyst for the State of Illinois Department of Revenue, retiring in 2013. Greg attended Calvary Church in Springfield with his family with plans to become member very soon.

Greg was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed a good card game with friends especially poker. He loved his family and was extremely proud of their accomplishments.

He is survived by his son, Aaron (wife Andria) Sapp, his grandson, Logan Sapp, his parents, William and Yvonne Sapp, his brother, Gary Sapp, all of Springfield, Logan's mother, Kristy Tolley, and three nieces: Courtney (Darrell) Sims of Florida, Ashley Sapp of Cincinnati, OH and Amanda Sapp of Springfield.

Visitation: The Sapp family will received family and friends at Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield, IL 62711 from 4-7 pm Monday, July 24, 2017.

Funeral Service: A funeral service will be held at 10 am Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Calvary Church on W Jefferson with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Chatham Memorial Cemetery.

Those who wish may direct memorial contributions in his name to Calvary Church, 1730 W Jefferson St, Springfield, IL 62702 to benefit the Hitting Center or M.C. Strong, PO Box 19, Hudson IL, 61748.
