Justin Everett Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 18, 2017.

Justin Everett, 39, Colorado City, passed away on July 16, 2017 in Colorado City
He was born in Kermit, Texas on March 31, 1978 to Mike and Debbie Treadwell Everett.
Justin was a man filled with passion who loved his children with all his heart. He was quirky, spontaneous and very giving, the type of man who made friends easily and would do anything for those he met and liked. He loved his God and his country, was not afraid to pray for strangers and would do anything for his country, including going across seas, which he did as a combat firefighter. He was also a huge New York Yankees fan and had many collectible items from the New York Yankees as well as collectibles from other things he was passionate about. If he were to have had a theme song it would have been "I Did it My Way" because he lived each day to its fullest and did things the way that he felt was right.
Justin is survived by his children; Tristin Everett of Ft. Hood, Hannah Everett of Colorado City, and Hallie Everett of Bryan, his parents Mike and Debbie Everett of Colorado City, his brother Josh Everett and wife Austin of Odessa, his maternal grandmother Peggy Treadwell of Colorado City, his paternal grandparents Bill and Fredalyn Everett of Abilene and by his nephews Joshua Everett Jr and Oliver Everett.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nicole Everett, by a brother Jeremy Everett, and by his grandfather J.N. Treadwell
A funeral service for Justin will be held on Friday, July 21st at 10 am at the First Baptist Church of Colorado City with Doctor Jerry Shields officiating, interment will follow in the Wulfjen Everett Cemetery of Colorado City. The family will be present for a visitation on Thursday, July 20th from 6-8 pm at the Kiker Seale Funeral Home.

We never met Justin we only knew him as "Tex." He proudly served in Iraq with our two sons. Our boys and those who served together that we have had the honor to meet have all been outstanding young men. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his family, particularly his children they are in our prayers as are the rest of the family. May you all find peace in God's loving arms. I'll never forget you telling my coach in high school that you were my Uncle, so I could stay the night in Kermit after a school trip. And every time we would hang out thereafter, we were always cousins. So keep laughing your contagious laugh Justin. All I know is that I'll miss you, cousin.

Thinking back to how long I've know you and your family and it's been your whole life. We went to church together, I babysat you and your brothers, you were best friends with my sister. We stayed in touch off and on through out the years and I've watched you go through so much. I've seen you persevere through your own personal tragedy & through it all you kept that awesome personality that everyone grew to love. I'm gonna miss your Snapchats and thanks for reminding me to wear my R.E.D. Justin, you will be missed my friend. ❤

Justin was such a genuine guy full of life. His amazing smile and silly laughed would make anyone smile back. I remember when we dated way back in Jr. High, everyone gave us a hard time because they said we could pass as brother and sister. Fast forward to years later, I am sitting at the bar at Zucchis and I hear this voice from behind me say, hows my sister been? I turned around and we both just started laughing. We sat and visited for hours that night just talking about the past and present. I will never forget all the great times and FB comments we shared. Sending love and prayers to you both Debbie and Mike and to your family. "His loved ones are very precious to Him and He does not lightly let them die." Psalms 116:15

Justin was a great guy. I'll never forget when we talked right before I went to Florida, I told him I was going to swim with sharks and he started laughing saying nope. He said man those sharks are gonna think your a fat juicy seal in that wet suite. We both laughed so hard. Im gonna miss you brother. Put in a good word for me to the man upstairs.
