Jonah Chesteen (JC) Miller, 75 of Huger, widower of Terrie Miller, passed away peacefully at his home on July 20th. He is the beloved father of Christine Schenck of Huger, Chesteen (Wendy) Miller of Hanahan and Rhonda Fickling of North Charleston. He is the brother of June Bass (Robert) of Eatonton, GA, Beverly Oliver (Mike) of Goose Creek, Sheila Soffera (John) of Huger. Cherished by his grandchildren Stacie, Katelyn, Nicholas, Jeremy, David, and Maggie.
JC was a passionate man who loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He possessed many talents which included woodworking, drawing, fishing, guitar, cooking and gardening. Over the years he was employed at Garco, IAC, Cummings, Millennium and has enjoyed retirement since 2007. This wonderful man will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jessie Miller Russell (Paul F) Chesteen J Miller and his daughter Tara Mangrum and brother Paul R Miller.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 4 PM to 7 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home , North Charleston. His homecoming service will be on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11 AM . After graveside services a reception will follow at his son's home. Flowers are welcome or memorial donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org/Donate in honor of JC.
