Edward Raymond Beale, age 47, of Midlothian, Virginia, entered into eternal life on July 20th, 2017 after a courageous battle with a rare cancer. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on February 6, 1970 and lived in numerous states along the East Coast.
He married his devoted wife, Lisa Beale on May 18, 1996 and was blessed with 2 children: Ashley who is 17 and Hunter is 15 years old. Eddie worked in multiple customer service oriented positions including a 16-year career with Home Depot followed by his most recent 14 years with Honeydew, Inc.
Eddie was a loving and devoted husband and father. He had an incredibly positive attitude about everything in life and was dedicated to his family, church, and community. He volunteered as a leader with Boy Scouts and chaperoned Youth outings. Among his many talents he was an Amateur Comedian, "Professional" Youth Sports Advisor/Coach, Mentor to all, Passionate Soccer player, Personal Cheerleader for Lisa, Ashley and Hunter, Avid story Teller, Prankster, Racing Fanatic and Hero to his children.
His competitive nature was defined with his life motto, "Play 2 Win". It was also clear when coaching, motivating, and encouraging his team while unintentionally entertaining the adult spectators with his loud creative phrases: "For the love of Jesus, somebody GO GET THE BALL!" and "This is not a movie, stop watching the game and get in front of the ball!"
During his fight with cancer he loved and lived every moment he was given and was never robbed of who he was. He was given to us to do a job and he simply completed the task too fast. He remained true to his character until God called him home.
A Golden heart stopped beating, two hands were laid to rest. God broke our hearts to prove He only takes the best.
His spirit lives on in his loving wife, Lisa; his children, Ashley and Hunter; father, David Beale; sister, Eileen Beale.

We are heartbroken over the loss of Eddie. I know how much he loved Lisa, Ashley and Hunter and his family was his life. Without a doubt, Eddie would do anything needed for the church and would never complain about any work that he had to do.
He could build and fix anything and I so enjoyed going on mission trips with him and being his "gopher" on the job sites. Eddie enjoyed working with the breakfast crew and was one of the serving "putter outers" but was a master at the cinnamon role icing responsibility - a role he enjoyed. Each month, I would ask Eddie what kind of biscuit would he like for breakfast - and he would slyly smile and say the "meat lover's special" - Country Ham, Bacon, and Sausage.
We loved Eddie and will miss him dearly. I'll never forget him. I look forward to seeing him again in heaven.

Eddie was always smiling. He was a hard worker and it was a pleasure to work with him. He had a wonderful sense of humor. When new people came to work with us opening a new store Eddie
helped make them feel welcome. He was a good teacher and trainer. He made me laugh so much
that it was hard to be serious sometimes. I'm so saddened to hear of his passing. We would kid each other about Chevys and Fords and one week we both switched. We walked to the parking lot to see each others new trucks thinking how pleased we would be that we now had the same brand. We cracked up laughing that we were on opposite sides again. Eddie added lots of humor to a video skit we filmed. At a big Home Depot Christmas party he was the 1st to get up and dance and helped everybody loosen up and enjoy the party. That's how I remember Eddie, smiling, laughing and spreading that joy and shrink wrapping me to a wheelchair! I'm so glad to have known him. May he rest in peace.

We are so sorry to lose such a dedicated father, husband and leader in our church and community. We will always remember Eddie as someone who had a smile on his face, whether he was volunteering at church, Scouts, ball fields or chaperoning on trips. Throughout his illness he never stopped committing himself to his family, friends and faith. He will be truly missed and our thoughts and prayers are with Lisa, Hunter and Ashley. Love, The Steenkamers
