Celebration of life services for Freeman Gurley, 90, of Corinth are set for 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Union Baptist Church with Bro. Rayburn Richardson officiating.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Gurley died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Magnolia Regional Health Center.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Freeman enjoyed Bluegrass music, buck dancing and working on cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Will Ed and Mittie Jewel Maricle Gurley; sister, Vanice Bowen; brothers, Joe Gurley and Dewey Gurley.
He is survived by his wife, Lola Byrd Gurley; son, Danny (Marsha) Gurley; brothers, Norman (Sandra) Gurley, Delphus (Jewell) Gurley and grandsons, Jason Gurley and Justin (Grace) Gurley.
Pallbearers will be Justin Gurley, Jason Gurley, Ronnie Brand, Jimmy Gurley, Jimmy Jones and Fred Lancaster.

Love you my friend ,Lola (Liza). Sure hate to hear this sad news.We loved Mr. Freeman also. I know just how you feel because I just lost my wonderful husband in May. Also Danny I know how you feel, losing your Dad is

It so broke my heart when I learned of Mr Gurley's passing last night at the weekly Picking on the Square in Corinth at the Courthouse. I looked forward to Seeing both Mr Freeman and his wife Lola. They always met me with the biggest of smiles. I will miss him dearly.
