Josephine "Joey" Clear, 87, of the Lake of the Ozarks passed away July 21, 2017 surrounded by her daughters at Northwest Medical Center in Albany, MO.
She was the youngest of eight children born in Kansas City, MO to the late Peter and Mary Kobby.
Joey married Charlie Clear April 4, 1947. Together they had four daughters; Charlene (Tom) Dunphy, Terri (Bruce) Johnson, Kim Lund and Tami Allen.
Joey worked as a secretary at Financial Guardian Insurance Agency for many years until her retirement 1989.
After retirement Joey enjoyed book club, the red hat society, railroad club, square dancing, alter society at Saint Anthony’s Catholic church in Camdenton, MO. She loved spending time with her seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Joey is survived by her daughters as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Sean (Deanne) Dunphy, Kylee and Kara, Tim (Allison) Dunphy, Sydney and Samantha, Danna Buls, Devon and Daniel, T.J. Dunphy, Brent Johnson, Taylor Johnson and Trevor Johnson. As well as several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am, Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. Visitation will be held 6-8pm, Monday, July 24, 2017 at White Chapel Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Pius X High School.
