Joseph Vernon Kremer, 50, peacefully passed away at his home in Osteen, Florida on Saturday, July 29, 2017. He was born on January 23, 1967 in Sidney, Ohio to James Otto Kremer and Norma Carol Abney Kremer. Joseph and his 6 siblings grew up on the water; this began his love of fishing and he also developed a love of hunting. Both of these passions carried over into his adult life.
Joseph was proud of his accomplishment as becoming an Assistant Superintendent in the road construction industry; however he was even more proud of his accomplishments outside of his work life. Above all Joseph loved being a grandfather and adored his grandbabies; his second love in life was fishing. Joseph competed and participated in PVA Fishing Tournaments, Teen Sport Fishing, the BFL, Costa Series Fishing Tournament and place at the Governor’s Cup Fishing Tournament. He was well loved and respected among the fishing community and acquired many friends during his time on the water.
Along with being a friend to many, Joseph was also a role model for many young men. His passing has left a void in not only the lives of his family members and friends, but also in the lives of the fishing community, the Central Florida community and in the lives of all the children that he became a father figure to.
Joseph leaves behind his loving wife of 31 years Theresa L. Kremer, his daughter Danielle Scott and her husband Dave along with their children Shelby and Summer, his son Joseph V. Kremer Jr. and his wife Niki along with their son J.D., his son Jacob V. (Amanda) along with their children Jace and George and Joseph’s mother Norma Carol Kremer. Joseph also leaves behind his brother Jim (Kelly) Kremer, brother Jeff (Lisa) Kremer, brother John (Lori) Kremer, brother Jerry (Monica) Kremer, sister Kathy (Matthew) Campbell and sister Karen (Rich) Brill along with numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:00am at Baldwin-Fairchild Oaklawn Chapel in Sanford with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Joseph’s name to Hugs From Bugz or to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
