Jean E. Ashbaugh, age 95 of North Canton, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Bethany Nursing Home.
She was born June 23, 1922 in Canton, Ohio to the late Millard and Helen (Carver) Lowry. Jean was a lifelong member of Zion United Church of Christ, North Canton, and a former member of the North Canton Lady Elks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ashbaugh; and sister, Dorothy "Tod" Ramsey. She is survived by her children, Judy (Jerry) Kinsey, and Steve (Vickie) Ashbaugh; grandchildren, Lisa (Brad) Whitmore, Steve (Minh) Kinsey, Eric (Tracy) Kinsey, Jennifer (Lawrence) Gardella; and seven great-grandchildren.
Many thanks to the staff at Bethany Nursing Home for the loving care they gave Jean for the last six years.
A private family memorial service is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Church of Christ, 415 South Main Street, North Canton, OH 44720 or Bethany Nursing Home, 626 34th Street NW, Canton, OH 44709.
