Janice Barefoot Wilkins, age 70, of Dunn passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Wake Medical Center.
She was born in Johnston County on May 16, 1947 the daughter of the late Parlia B. Barefoot and Opal Turnage Barefoot. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Curtis Wilkins and son, Dean Wilkins.
Janice loved to spend time in the company of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and delighting them with her silly antics. She enjoyed word searches, sewing, listening to her favorite radio program and quilting.
Janice was a true Christian lady and was a member of Fair Haven Church of God in Benson, North Carolina
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Patricia Dorman; sons, Kenneth Dale Wilkins and wife Charlene and Johnathan Wilkins; daughter, Lisa Lynn Henderson; grandchildren, Corey Wilkins, Danielle Settle (Brian), Christa Stamper (Zechariah), Courtney Wilkins and April Brown (Austin); great grandchildren, Jeorgia, Carlie, Lucas, Madelyn, Raven and Lexi; and numerous other loving family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am Friday, August 4, 2017 at Devotional Gardens Cemetery in Dunn, NC
